First off, Happy New Year from eagleenvision.net to you and your family! It is that time of year where we reach a turning point and reflect on the areas on which we personally and professionally can improve. I will be outlining my "new year's resolution" with eagleenvision.net and will summarize my thoughts on what 2010 will bring to our company. It is in this kind of blog post that I hope to bring a greater element of transparency to our company.

Speaking of transparency, my goal with eagleenvision.net is to blog more! We've had the current site for almost a year and our blog archive is seemingly empty. It's time to change this. We would like to allow future clients to take a look at our thought process and receive first hand insight on our processes and business practices along with technical information from which any web designer could benefit. Blogging will also include micro-blogging on twitter for both marketing and informational purposes to bring a stronger online presence and business transparency.

A large area of web design we have largely ignored was accessibility. It is my hope that all our websites going forward will be accessible to any person with a visual imparement. While there is a small market for the visually impaired, it should be our responsibility as a web design and development firm to give those people a first-class experience. There are many accessibility standards the W3C has published in recent years. We will be adopting these standards and embedding a lot of the concepts of accessibility in our custom content management system, which I will be describing in later blog posts.

A major theme for this year will be micro-optimization. We will continue to innovate in page speed efficiency though new ways of caching data and minimizing the size of page requests. This will allow customers to experience websites the way they should be, coming onto screens in seconds. There are a lot of web design and search engine optimization companies that ignore page efficiency. While they are busy focusing primarily on search, the user is often lost. At eagleenvision.net we continue to focus on the end-user of our products. We are discovering new user experience paterns that are optimal for the viewing of websites. Many of these usability features have been in the works for quite awhile, but will surface in a big way this year.

This year will be a big year for eagleenvision.net both technologically and as a business. We will be investing in new markets and will focus on the markets most companies ignore. It is our hope to combine affordability with quality. We have quite a few quality barriers that will always be met when developing a product for a customer. These barriers are never ignored, reguardless of price.

I look forward to blogging more and hope that you will check out the many sites in our portfolio. If you can envision it, we can create it! Happy New Year everyone.
